About myMlango

myMlango is a digital education service developed by sQuid Kenya. The interactive eLearning platform provides affordable access to a comprehensive range of specialist learning content, resources and revision tools - enabling learners to access a personalised education experience, and to learn and progress at their own pace.

Developed to meet the demands of a student population that has grown more diverse, with a wide range of academic and language needs, myMlango delivers a connected online learning experience in schools and at home, which is easily accessible via desktop PCs and laptops.

 
 

About sQuid Kenya

Obtaining a quality education is the foundation to improving people’s lives and sustainable development.

Here at sQuid Kenya, we focus on developing digital solutions that enable access to education tools, and promote inclusive and quality education for all. This involves providing these services to the education sector, and for humanitarian aid & development programmes too.

We recognise the education challenge at hand; that achieving inclusive and equitable quality education for all will require increasing efforts, especially in sub-Saharan Africa, to provide support for vulnerable communities. 

And it is for this reason why we keep the United Nation's (UN) Sustainable Development Goal 4 - Quality Education: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, at the very heart of what we do.

The UN states that basic literacy skills have improved tremendously, yet bolder efforts are needed to make even greater strides to achieve universal education goals, due to:

  • 57 million children who remain out of school;

  • More than half of children that have not enrolled in school live in sub-Saharan Africa;

  • And 103 million youth worldwide lack basic literacy skills (with more than 60 per cent of them being women).

We have undertaken the challenge set out in Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, and aim to improve access to quality education through our involvement in the pioneering iMlango programme, where we provide a range of digital education services and lead the on the ground efforts in Kenya - supporting 245 rural schools across four counties.
