What is a myMlango Student Subscription?

A myMlango Student Subscription is an annual, half-yearly or termly subscription to the myMlango service (lasting 12 months, 6 months or 4 months respectively from the date of purchase). Your child will be able to access a variety of resources including curriculum-aligned learning materials on different subjects, an online encyclopaedia, digital storybooks and educational videos, as well as past papers and tests to help them prepare for future exams.

Can I buy a myMlango Student Subscription if my child's school has not subscribed to the service?

Yes, you can still buy a myMlango Student Subscription even if your child's school has not currently subscribed to use the myMlango e-Learning platform.

I have more than one child, how many myMlango Student Subscriptions do I need to purchase?

You will need to purchase one myMlango Student Subscription for each child as they will each be issued with their own unique login to access the myMlango portal.

How do I pay with M-Pesa?

To pay with M-Pesa please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to M-PESA on your mobile phone
  2. Select Lipa na M-PESA and then select Pay Bill from the M-PESA menu
  3. Next enter the business number: 338150
  4. Now, enter your sQuidPay Kenya purse reference number
  5. Enter the exact amount in KES that you need to top up this purse
  6. Enter your M-Pesa PIN
  7. Confirm that all details are correct and send the top up

How long will it take for the M-Pesa payment to be credited to my sQuid account as a top up?

The top up should be available in your sQuid account within a few seconds of a completed M-Pesa payment.

How do I renew my child's subscription when it comes to an end?

It is easy to renew you child's subscription - You simply need to:

  • Log in to your myMlango payment account
  • Go to 'View Purchases'
  • Click the 'Renew Subscription' button
  • Choose an Annual Subscription, Half Year Subscription or Term Subscription
  • Make payment with M-Pesa

I wish to cancel my myMlango Student Subscription(s). How do I do this and get a refund?

Please email our team at mymlango@squidkenya.com who will be able to arrange a refund for you. Kindly note, that if you wish to cancel your subscription before the 1 year, 6 months or 1 term is complete, you will receive a refund for the remainder of the subscription period. For example, if you wish to cancel a 1 year subscription after 6 months, you will be refunded 50% of the subscription cost.

When I attempt to complete my purchase a 'Payment Error' message is displayed - what does this mean?

If you see this message displayed while trying to purchase a Student Subscription, it means that you have not completed your M-Pesa payment on your mobile phone.

Please click the 'Back' button to see the steps you will need to follow to complete a sQuid account top up with M-Pesa. Alternatively, if you have now completed a top up with M-Pesa and are ready to purchase the Student Subscription, please click the 'Retry' button.
